  • An important message from Repeace to the 99%

    Written By: February 27, 2012

Dear Occupiers,  Egyptian revolutionaries, Spanish Indignados, Greek citizens,  99%ers, and anonymous “leakers,”

This message is to all who stand for a future free from the corrupting forces of centralized power and concentrated wealth, a future in which the physical and spiritual well-being of humanity and the planet are placed above the material profit of a few.  We have witnessed  gradual and persistent destruction of our environment, use of violence against innocents, and deliberate lies to justify and obscure the misdeeds of our leaders.

We have all read documents and viewed documentaries and videos, that have opened our eyes to the truth. We know something is deeply wrong at the highest levels of our institutions, and the people have lost their power in democracy. No matter how governments, representatives and the complicit media wish to frame Wikileaks, the revelations showed us that  thousands of people working for large corporations, government agencies, embassies and other organizations have witnessed and participated in crimes. The very institutions we entrusted to serve us are infected with greed and immorality that manifest in covert operations, deceit, and corruption. The power of the people is being used against us.

There is no need to find out who stands with the 99%, OWS, the Spanish Indignados, the Egyptian people, Wikileaks, Anonymous or any other name. We are all, at the core united by our shared commitment to a world of justice, fairness and prosperity for all.

  • Let us focus on a more practical Peace

In 1963, John F. Kennedy gave one of his greatest speeches, the focus of which was peace. At the time, the concept of peace was heavily entrenched in the subject of war, the relationship between the USA and the Soviet Union, and the amounts of nuclear weapons in both countries' arsenals. At the time, Kennedy wanted to discuss a different kind of peace, in his words, "a more practical peace."

  • John Spritzler: A Misunderstanding about Democracy

Written By: John Spritzler April 9, 2012 newdemocracyworld

There is a widespread misunderstanding about what democracy is. According to this misunderstanding, democracy is a way for all of the citizens of a nation, rich and poor alike, to peaceably reach agreements about important and controversial social questions, with every citizen having equal status in the process, and without resorting to violence. The idea is that everybody accepts a principle such as majority-rule or some kind of consensus rule, and people (possibly with elected representatives), in an effort to achieve a majority or consensus, “horse trade” with each other to reach agreements that get legislated as laws.

  • The Biggest Fallacy of Humankind is About War and Peace

    Written By: Repeacer January 9, 2012 Repeace.com

Holding our institutions accountable is an exercise in peace and the goal of social activism is realizing and achieving peace, whether it be activists or the people that they advocate on behalf of by giving them a voice.

Repeace expands the concept of peace based on a unique linguistic interpretation and on simple observations of world events.

  • Peace is The Absence of Fear

    Written By: December 21, 2011

When we protest, we’re holding our institutions accountable because we experience stress and anxiety. If things were okay, we wouldn’t protest. If there were enough jobs, affordable healthcare and education, and a transparent and accountable government, there would be peace. Wars do not define the term “peace” exclusively. As far as consequences for humankind, this innocent mistake may have been one of history’s biggest misconceptions.
